Every year, the Longhorn Rocketry Association participates in a few UT and Cockrell School of Engineering outreach events to encourage future engineering students and young rocket scientists to become involved with hands-on engineering activities.

LRA participates in Girl Day, an annual UT event which encourages the participation of women in engineering fields across the spectrum.

The University of Texas at Austin holds a yearly outreach event that invites thousands of students from all over Texas to introduce them to the campus and go through the college experience for a day. LRA members get to show these students what it is like to be involved with designing and building rockets through small models that they can launch from their backyards.
